MitID Erhverv

MitID Erhverv is the new digital identification (eID) solution in Denmark for organizations launched in 2022. MitID Erhverv is a significant change in the country's strategy for digital authentication for businesses. The system will replace NemID Medarbejdersignatur, which is being phased out due to increasing security requirements and usability issues. The aim of MitID Erhverv is to offer a more secure, flexible identification system for Danish businesses, associations, and authorities [1].

What is MitID Erhverv?

MitID Erhverv is a digital identification (eID) solution specifically designed for organizations in Denmark, including companies, associations, and authorities. It was introduced in the summer of 2022 as a replacement for the previous solution, NemID medarbejdersignatur.

By leveraging MitID Erhverv employees can access various platforms and services on behalf of the organization. These platforms may include SKAT.dk, tinglysning, virk.dk, and more. MitID Erhverv simplifies the management of issued MitID Erhverv business identities and the corresponding permissions granted.

Migrating to MitID Erhverv

Organizations presently utilizing the NemID medarbejdersignatur system have a migration deadline set for October 31, 2023, to transition over to MitID Erhverv. The NemID Medarbejdersignatur system will remain operational until this date, after which it will be entirely decommissioned.
